Climate adaptation is usually assessed in physical and economic terms. This social impact analysis, supporting the Dutch National Climate Adaptation Strategy (NAS'26), assesses how national adaptation choices may shape health, equity, social cohesion and resilience.

The analysis makes visible who carries the burden of adaptation decisions, and where adaptation can strengthen rather than strain the social fabric.
