Predictive modelling for helminth control
Photo credit unknownSoil-transmitted helminths are a silent epidemic affecting millions of children and communities in Kenya. We compared Markov and mechanistic modelling approaches for prevalence projections in the context of survey design.
The comparison demonstrated the potential of different modelling approaches to optimise preventive chemotherapy targeting — a framework applicable to other neglected tropical diseases.
